Bagno Pubblico

“Bagno Pubblico” by Massimiliano Precisi is a work that transforms an everyday object into a visual manifesto of social criticism and collective disorder. The protagonist, an anthropomorphized toilet, is covered with writings, drawings and symbols that evoke the chaos of public communications, the bombardment of meaningless messages and rampant hypocrisy. Precisi turns the public toilet into a profane altar where thoughts, vulgarity and unsolicited confessions meet.

The composition is a jungle of details: stylized human and animal figures, architectural fragments, abstract symbols and almost paranoid annotations. Every corner of the canvas is a micro-story that contributes to the sense of visual oppression. The use of mixed media amplifies the effect of stratification and fragmentation.

This work is a visceral satire, which invites the viewer to reflect on the absurdity of the human condition. Irreverent, ironic and imbued with an irresistible irreverence, it is a true manifesto of contemporary denunciation.
