THE PRINCIPLE

FROM THE PLANE TO THE VOLUME.

GESTO is made from a single sheet of leather. The cut defines its geometry; the fold transforms it into a volume.

CONSTRUCTION

SEAMLESS.

Nothing is added. Cuts and joints hold the shape, letting the leather itself construct the object.

ONE STRUCTURE.

GESTO is born from the coupling of two 2mm leather sheets. Together they reach a thickness of 4mm: structure and flexibility coexist in the same material.

The two sheets can be chosen in different shades, making the interior, exterior, and edge part of the design. A two-tone, double-faced construction.

GESTO can be disassembled and returned to the top, minimizing bulk during storage and transport.

A particularly valuable quality in hospitality and yacht interiors, where flexibility, logistics and available space become part of the project.

Ten shades of leather can be paired tone-on-tone or in contrast. This way, the interior, exterior, and edge become part of GESTO’s chromatic composition, with combinations that can be defined in relation to the interior's palette.

THE PROJECT

GESTO stems from the quest for a shape achieved with the minimum number of elements. A sheet of leather, the cut, the fold, and the interlocking become the structure, without seams or additional components.

Designed by Lorenzo Lazzeroni for Vicode, the collection explores the boundary between surface and volume, transforming an essential constructive gesture into an open family of objects.
