One sheet, many possibilities
GESTO stems from the idea of transforming a flat surface into a volume through an essential action. The leather is cut, folded, and interlocked without stitching, allowing the material itself to create the form.
Each element retains the clarity of its originating principle: a few marks, no superfluous additions, and a precise relationship between solids, voids, and proportions. Everyday function thus becomes part of a broader, tactile, and architectural experience.
Designed by Lorenzo Lazzeroni and made in Italy, GESTO includes containers, trays, and tissue box holders intended for homes, hospitality, and professional projects.
Discover GESTO
From the constructive principle to the available configurations, a journey through the material, form, color and applications of the collection.
Shape is born from a gesture
At the origin of GESTO there is an elementary action: taking a surface, folding it and letting the movement generate the volume.
The name describes this process. Not a form imposed on the material, but a form that emerges from the way the leather is cut, lifted and related to itself.
The design reduces the construction elements to the essential. The cut becomes a mark, the fold becomes a structure, the interlocking replaces the seam. The result is an object that is immediate in function, but complex in perception: it changes with the light, with the point of observation and with the way it is used.
Pure matter
GESTO is crafted from a single sheet of leather. Its construction requires no stitching: cuts, folds, and interlocking elements provide stability to its volume and define its character.
The absence of superimposed elements makes the design legible. Every edge, every opening, and every change of direction contributes to the form without being hidden.
The leather remains the protagonist: the continuous surface, the raw edge, and the subtle natural variations speak of an authentic material, destined to mature over time.
The Architecture of Emptiness
The shape of GESTO is not built around a hidden structure. It is the void itself, contained and defined by the leather, that determines the volume.
The slits allow the parts to meet; the folds generate tension; the interlocking joints keep the object in balance. The result appears simple because each element responds to a necessity.
This logic makes GESTO recognizable in all its sizes: from the small pocket emptier to the wardrobe container, the same design grammar changes scale without losing its identity.
Two colors, one shape
The double-sided construction allows GESTO to change its identity with a simple movement. By flipping the object, the inner color becomes the outer color, and its relationship with the space transforms.
This duality is not an added decorative detail, but a direct consequence of the construction system. A single shape can thus interpret different atmospheres, adapt to new palettes, or create more striking contrasts.
For residential and professional projects, the combination of the two sides offers an additional opportunity for coordination with woods, stones, fabrics, and finishes.
Present when needed, out of the way when not
Once released from their interlocking positions, GESTO containers can return to a flat state and be stacked. This feature reduces the space required for transport, storage, and handling of multiple units.
This efficiency is particularly valuable in hospitality, nautical, and contract projects, where every centimeter must be used precisely.
GESTO does not sacrifice its presence for functionality: it takes up little space when stored and gains volume, identity, and character when in use.
The GESTO collection

Valet trays and containers
Four dimensions accompany different gestures and environments: from the small valet tray for keys and personal items to the wardrobe container, capable of becoming an autonomous presence in the space.
The same shape grows in scale while maintaining its cuts, folds, proportions, and identity unchanged.

Tissue holder
The tissue box cover reinterprets an everyday object through a continuous, soft, and architectural surface. It is available in rectangular and square formats to suit different packaging and contexts.
Rooms, bathrooms, suites, studies, and living areas thus become places where even an essential function contributes to the overall quality of the space.
Six configurations, one principle
The current collection includes four containers and two tissue box covers. The dimensions allow for transition from small personal use to broader functions for living rooms, wardrobes, bathrooms, and hospitality.

14.5 × 14.5 cm — H 7 cm
Universal Storage Box
22 × 22 cm — H 10 cm

The collection is destined to expand with new types and applications, while maintaining GESTO's unchanged constructive principle.
The Luxury of Everyday Gestures
GESTO enters rooms without overpowering the architecture. Its material, scale and function allow the collection to accompany different moments of the day: placing personal items, tidying the wardrobe, presenting linens or enhancing a moment of self-care.
In the living room, it becomes a sculptural presence. In the bedroom, it introduces order and tactility. In the bathroom, it transforms a functional element into a sensory detail. Each application arises from the relationship with the space, not from the simple addition of an accessory.
A detail that defines the project
GESTO is designed for environments where attention to detail contributes to the overall perception of hospitality: boutique hotels, suites, yachts, private residences, lounges, spas, and contract projects.
The ability to coordinate colours, configurations, and quantities allows the collection to harmonise with the woods, marbles, fabrics, and finishes already defined by the interior design.
The absence of seams, the ability to flatten the elements, and the clarity of the form also offer tangible advantages in supplying, storing, and managing multiple units.

Ten colors, many relationships
Leather is a living material. Each surface retains slight variations that reveal its natural origin and acquires character through use and the passage of time.
The GESTO palette is composed of deep, natural tones, designed to interact with woods, marbles, metals, fabrics and interior finishes.

The double-faced construction allows two shades to be combined in the same item, creating tone-on-tone combinations or more defined contrasts.
Lorenzo Lazzeroni
Interior and product designer, Lorenzo Lazzeroni develops GESTO as a synthesis of design thinking, material, and function.
The collection is born from research into the possibility of obtaining volume without adding structure: a single sheet of leather, a few cuts, and a sequence of folds capable of transforming the surface into a container.
The project reflects an approach that prioritizes proportion, constructive clarity, and the ability of objects to interact with architecture. GESTO is not created to follow a trend, but to build a recognizable family open to new evolutions.
Made in Italy
GESTO is made in Italy through a process that preserves the tactile quality of the leather and the precision required for the cutting, folding, and interlocking system.
Registered design
GESTO's formal and constructive principle is protected as a registered design. The collection is exclusively distributed and marketed by Vicode.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is GESTO?
GESTO is a collection of leather accessories designed by Lorenzo Lazzeroni. Through cuts, folds, and interlocking elements, a single sheet is transformed into containers, valet trays, and tissue box holders for interiors and hospitality.
What products does the collection currently include?
The collection includes four sizes of containers—a valet tray, a universal storage box, a living room storage box, and a wardrobe storage box—as well as rectangular and square tissue box covers.
Do GESTO items have seams?
No. The design principle is based on a single sheet of leather that acquires volume through cuts, folds, and interlocking. The absence of seams makes the relationship between material and form legible and continuous.
What does "double-faced" mean?
The double-faced construction allows both sides of the object to be used. By reversing the configuration, it is possible to change the prevailing color and create a new chromatic relationship with the environment.
Can items be flattened?
Yes. By releasing the interlocking parts, the containers can return to a flat condition and be stacked, reducing bulk during transport, storage, and management of multiple units.
Is GESTO suitable for hotels, yachts, and contract projects?
Yes. The collection is also designed for boutique hotels, suites, yachts, spas, showrooms, and contract projects. Models, colours, quantities, and applications can be discussed with Vicode in relation to the project.
Where is the collection made?
GESTO is a Made in Italy project. The manufacturing is carried out in Italy, and the design is exclusively distributed and marketed by Vicode.
