Manhattan works on a more abstract, painterly surface than the other kimonos in the collection. The colours do not create a rigidly repetitive pattern but appear as large brushstrokes distributed across the fabric.

The belt offers a second interpretation: worn open, the garment maintains a wider silhouette, while cinched at the waist, it concentrates the pattern and alters its proportions.

Due to its rich colours, it works particularly well over black, cream, or very neutral tones.
