The Casakū selection for Vicode celebrates the perfect meeting of contemporary design and an ancient material: terracotta. The protagonist of this line is an absolute balance between Color, Form, and Material. Stripped of their more rustic appearance, these objects are distinguished by the exclusive "Gesso" satin finish, a soft surface that invites touch and captures light with extraordinary delicacy. The clean-lined silhouettes evoke classic and natural proportions, reinterpreting them with a minimal aesthetic capable of transforming each vase into a silent and sophisticated sculpture.
Designed to dialog fluidly with any interior, the collection offers a wide range of colors inspired by the shades of the earth, with tones designed to be freely combined, creating unique domestic landscapes. Terracotta, gesture, proportion
Casakū was born in 2008 from a trip to Indonesia and Marcella's intuition to bring an ancient and timeless material back into focus: terracotta. Today the project is shared with Greta, her daughter. Mother and daughter work together on model design, color selection, finishes, and textures, defining the measurements and proportions of each piece with a team of expert artisans.
Production takes place in Indonesia, in places where artisanal knowledge is still a living part of the culture and daily work. From design to sample, to the finished object, every step maintains a direct relationship with the material and the gesture of the hand. Small variations, marks, and irregularities are not hidden but become part of the identity of each piece.
In the Gesso collection, shapes inspired by natural elements and past silhouettes are reinterpreted through clean lines and contemporary proportions. The satin surface recalls the visual and tactile softness of plaster, while the colors draw inspiration from the earth and its elements.
Even the signature detail follows the same logic: the brand is artisanally engraved into the material, and each impression retains slight differences. Not an applied element, but a trace of the process, of time, and of the hand that created the object.
For Vicode, Casakū joins the collection through a selection of Gesso: objects with a measured presence, capable of inhabiting space by giving the material the main role.
