Soul Fragment 01 is a wall sculpture by Gabriella Gaudino and Roberto Giuntoli that connects a ceramic face with a silver finish to a deeply scarred piece of reclaimed wood. Ceramic and wood create a contrast between smoothness and irregularity.

Product Description

In Soul Fragment 01, the support is not a neutral base. Grooves, erosions, and variations in the wood are as much a part of the composition as the face applied to it.

The ceramic, on the other hand, has a more uniform and reflective surface. The silver finish reacts to light and makes the face particularly prominent compared to the natural tones of the wooden panel.

The artwork functions best on a wall, where the 12-centimeter relief clearly shows the distance between the face and the support.

Use and care

Do not wet either the ceramic or the wood. Dust only with a soft, completely dry cloth.

The wooden fragment has unique characteristics, and the face retains slight variations in modeling and finish. Its uniqueness arises precisely from the encounter between these two materials.
