Iconic Zebra is a decorative ceramic plate hand-painted by Artema Galli. The naive figure of the zebra emerges on a polychrome background crossed by red, green, and ocher stripes, transforming the plate's surface into a small pictorial work.

It is part of the Animals series and is made in the ceramic tradition of Santo Stefano di Camastra.

Product Description

Artema Galli treats the plate as a pictorial surface. The curvature and rim become part of the composition, and the zebra occupies the center like a character, more evoked than realistically depicted.

Around the figure, vertical stripes create a second energy. Red, green, and ochre alternate with a free stroke, revealing small drips and variations that emphasize the handmade nature of the painting. The contrast between the graphic coat of the zebra and the polychrome background creates an immediate, ironic, and recognizable image.

Zebra Iconica can be displayed on a console with a stand, integrated into a wall composition, or used as a decorative element on a table. In a neutral environment, color becomes the protagonist; within a more eclectic space, it can interact with graphic works, textiles, and other ceramics.

Use and care

The plate is conceived as a decorative work and not as tableware. Do not use it for food or liquids and do not wash it in a dishwasher. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
