"Il Matto" by Massimiliano Precisi is a brutal and colorful representation of madness as a primordial and free force, which breaks every pattern and mocks the established order. The discomposed face, crossed by violent chromatic cracks, symbolizes the fractured identity and the continuous tension between impulse and rationality.

The composition, dominated by the bright red background and the nervous line of the stroke, expresses an explosive emotional charge: the material acrylic seems to scratch the canvas, transforming every pictorial gesture into a declaration of rebellion. The white frame, elegant and almost sacred, contrasts ironically with the iconoclastic fury of the subject.

With his sharp and incisive visual language, Precisi invites us to recognize the Fool as a universal symbol of humanity: fragile, contradictory and wonderfully imperfect.

Precisi does not attempt a faithful representation of Frida Kahlo. Instead, he uses the icon as a starting point and subjects it to his own language of fragmentation, signs, and superimpositions.

Red structures the entire surface and unifies elements that would otherwise appear very different: face, words, patterns, and graphic details.

The 40 × 60 cm format allows the work to be placed even in more intimate spaces, while maintaining a strong chromatic presence.
