Selena is a blue ceramic sculpture handcrafted and glazed by Artema Galli. The head shape is reduced to a few essential features, allowing the Prussian blue glaze to define its expression and depth.

The glossy finish collects in the surface ripples, returning different reflections depending on the light.

Product Description

Selena’s face is not described with realistic details. Eyes, cheeks, and profile emerge from a few strokes of material, allowing for a more abstract and personal interpretation. The sculpture changes expression according to the angle and intensity of the light.

The Prussian blue glaze is applied thickly and distributes differently across the curves. In the indentations, the color appears deeper; on the protruding parts, it becomes brighter and more reflective. The ripples on the surface prevent the glaze from appearing uniform and add movement to the face.

Selena can be placed on a desk, a console table, a bookcase, or on top of a stack of art books. Its compact scale encourages a close-up view and allows the sculpture to interact with small objects, graphic works, and materials with neutral tones.

Use and care

The sculpture is intended exclusively for indoor display. Clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth, without using abrasive sponges or aggressive detergents.
