Urban Pearl begins with a portrait immediately recognizable as belonging to the European painting tradition and subjects it to a second layer of intervention.

Blue signs and symbols are distributed around the figure as elements belonging to another time and another language. The face does not disappear: it remains legible precisely because of the contrast with the contemporary interventions.

The small format allows for close viewing, particularly useful for perceiving the differences between the portrait and the graphic mark.
