Sussurri di Corteccia (Whispers of Bark) is a sculptural design vase made of ceramic by Luana Baglì, entirely hand-molded, incised, and glazed.

The rounded body is traversed by lines that recall the texture of bark, while the small side handles stretch out like branches. A unique piece inspired by the organic structures of nature.

Product Description

The surface of Sussurri di Corteccia is created through incisions that follow the volume and alter its perception. The lines do not form a regular decoration but instead break, overlap, and change direction like the fibers of a tree trunk.

The central body maintains a soft and compact shape. At the sides, small handles introduce thinner elements, similar to branches separating from the main mass. This relationship between volume and appendages makes the vase interesting even when viewed from the side.

The neutral palette reinforces the reference to bark, stone, and natural materials without imitating them literally. It can be displayed on a console, bookshelf, or coffee table, either as a standalone sculpture or with a single flower or light branch.

Use and care

To use a fresh flower, it is advisable to insert a small waterproof test tube to protect the handcrafted surface. Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh detergents, impacts, and dishwashers.

Incisions, handles, and glaze variations are the result of Luana Baglì's direct work and do not follow a repeatable model. Each vase develops its own texture, just as happens in the natural surfaces that inspire it.
