That day in Valencia
We were traveling, searching for something completely different. A glass in hand, the sun filtering through the bottles in a small wine shop downtown.
Then Lorenzo stopped. Behind a glass window, a bright red glow: it was the Botijo Rojo . We took it with us, like a secret whispered at the right time .
Marrakech, between fossils and engraved wood
In the souk, time seems to stand still. We were there for our four-year-old son, who loves dinosaurs more than we love carpets.
While we were hunting for fossils for him, we saw them: ancient fish, carved from wood, with eyes that knew too much . They were priceless. Nor had any written history. But we chose them—or perhaps they chose us. Now they swim in our catalog, between sand and dreams.
Volterra: the silent cry of art
In Tuscan markets, you sometimes find poetry amidst the dust . We will never forget "Shadows of the Mind" and "Guardian of Darkness."
They were painted by a young artist, R'95 , interned in Volterra. In the darkness of his world, painting was his voice.
We felt kidnapped, destabilized. Maybe even protected. We bought them and have been searching ever since. Because that silent voice still speaks to us.
It's not an object. It's a story.
