The Lady and the Flamingo is a hand-painted Marbella straw bag by Carlo Farsetti. The composition plays on the contrast between the light background and a black silhouette, creating an essential graphic scene on the woven surface. It is a unique 1/1 piece, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and a dust bag.

Product Description

Here Farsetti intentionally reduces the number of colors and works primarily on the line. The female figure and the flamingo are interpreted as silhouettes, almost as if they were cut-out characters superimposed on the natural texture of the straw.

The woven surface prevents the black from appearing completely flat: up close, the fibers, reliefs, and small irregularities of the support are still perceptible. The graphic contrast therefore remains sharp from a distance, but more textured up close.

Compared to the polychrome bags from the same capsule, La Signora e il Fenicottero can more easily complement a minimalist wardrobe. White, black, natural linen, and denim allow the design to emerge without creating color competition.

Use and care

Protect from water, rain, salt, and humidity. Do not rub the paint and store the bag in the dust bag, avoiding crushing the woven structure.

The charm of handmade

The design is painted directly on the natural weave, not printed on an industrial surface. Small differences in the weave modify the edge of the silhouettes and make each 1/1 piece truly individual.
