Flutto is a ceramic sculpture that transforms the figure of a fish into a sign full of movement. The compact body gives way to a wide and irregular tail, almost a wave held within the material. The raspberry color completely changes the character of the object: decisive, contemporary, and unexpected, deepened by the chalky and opaque surface of the GESSO collection.

Product Description

Flutto originated from a familiar figure, yet its strength lies not in the representation of a fish but in the movement of its form. The body is full and compact, almost solid; then, suddenly, the silhouette opens into a much wider, irregular tail, capable of shifting the entire visual weight of the object.

It is this disproportion that makes it interesting. The tail appears to be caught in the moment it changes direction, as if the material still retains the memory of movement in water. Fins, scales, and small reliefs remain intentionally essential: enough detail to recognize the subject, without transforming the sculpture into a naturalistic representation.

The raspberry color further distances the object from traditional marine imagery. It is an intense, almost graphic hue, making Flutto a true chromatic accent. However, the GESSO surface dampens its brilliance: the color remains saturated but acquires a softer, more powdery quality, much easier to integrate into a sophisticated interior.

On a dark wooden bookshelf, a stone console, a marble top, or next to objects with neutral tones, Flutto creates a sharp contrast without losing elegance. It can be interpreted as a decorative sculpture, a design object, or simply as a small ironic presence capable of breaking the rigidity of a composition.

The sculpture is conceived and designed by CASAKŪ and subsequently handcrafted in Indonesia. The surface is completed using the technique developed with the artisans for the GESSO collection, through the application of a plaster primer that gives the ceramic its characteristic matte, soft, and textured finish.

Flutto thus interprets contemporary artistic ceramics with a direct language: a recognizable figurative form, an extraordinary color, and a craftsmanship that preserves the character of a handmade object.
