La Scuola del Sole (The School of the Sun) is a naive Moroccan painting signed Mabchour. Against a vibrant yellow background, a teacher and five students create an ensemble scene brought to life by primary colors and stylized Arabic letters. The canvas is framed in natural Okoumé wood.

The yellow almost completely fills the pictorial field and immediately determines the character of the work. On this surface, Mabchour arranges the teacher and the five young students in a simple and frontal structure.

The blackboard with Arabic letters becomes the center of the scene, while the colorful clothes of the pupils create a rhythm of reds, blues, and other saturated hues.

Its reduced size allows it to be placed on a bookshelf, on a desk, or alongside other works from the Moroccan series without losing its autonomy.
