Sillage is an artistic ceramic sculpture vase with a teardrop silhouette, featuring a wide central void and defined by a long, vertical neck. Designed by CASAKŪ and handcrafted in Indonesia, it belongs to the GESSO collection, characterized by a particular matte, chalky finish that makes the surface soft, tactile, and deeply contemporary.

Product Description

Sillage is a designer art ceramic vase built around the relationship between solid and void. Its drop shape opens at the center, allowing space to pass through, while the slender neck develops vertically without completely concealing the stem inserted within. It is an essential yet highly recognizable geometry, capable of taking on the presence of a small sculpture within a space.

Its shape originates from a reinterpretation of 1950s perfume bottles. The large central indentation is not merely a formal element: the inner base was also designed as a surface on which to spray a fragrance, allowing the scent to subtly diffuse into the environment. Used alone or accompanied by a single dry stem, Sillage maintains a strong visual autonomy.

Like all ceramic vases in the GESSO collection, Sillage is conceived and designed by CASAKŪ and then handcrafted in Indonesia. Its surface results from a technique developed with artisans through the application of a special plaster primer, responsible for the characteristic matte, chalky, and soft finish that mutes reflections and highlights the continuity of its curves.

This process brings artisanal ceramics closer to the language of contemporary sculpture: not just a simple accessory, but an object capable of creating a focal point on a console, a bookshelf, a table, or within an arrangement of designer vases and artistic ceramics.

The interior of the vase remains unglazed and is not waterproofed; therefore, Sillage is not suitable for holding water.
