Botijo Rojo – Designer Vase in Red Ceramic

The structure of the Botijo Rojo references a typology created to naturally store and cool water. The compact body, the upper handle, and the two side openings maintain recognition of this functional memory, even though it now primarily serves a decorative role.

The red glaze is applied by hand and envelops the terracotta with an intense and reflective surface. The color follows the curves of the piece, becoming brighter on protruding parts and deeper in recesses. Slight tonal differences and minor irregularities are part of the artisanal process.

Its narrow and vertical proportion allows it to be placed on a shelf, console, or sideboard. The red creates an effective contrast with light stone, dark wood, neutral walls, and burnished metals, without requiring additional decorative elements.

Use and Care

The Botijo Rojo is offered as a sculptural vase and decorative object. To protect the artisanal glaze, it is preferable not to fill it with water. Clean with a soft cloth, avoiding abrasive detergents, impacts, and sudden temperature changes.
