Sfera Notte is a black ceramic sculpture from Sejnane, hand-shaped by Marowa and polished with seashells. The bulbous and compact volume is streaked with grey and silver reflections, naturally produced by firing under straw.

It is part of the Malles x Vicode collection and is a unique piece.

Product Description

Marowa constructs Sfera Notte as a full, stable, and self-contained volume. The form does not seek perfect sphericity but retains subtle tensions and variations that give it the character of a polished stone or a celestial body.

The black hue is created during traditional firing under straw. Smoke penetrates the clay, producing variations ranging from deep black to graphite gray. Polishing with seashells makes some parts more compact and reflective, without erasing the earthy origin of the material.

It can be placed on a coffee table, a sideboard, a bookcase, or a low pedestal. The form is designed to exist as a standalone presence and does not require botanical elements. A side light allows for better appreciation of the transitions between black, gray, and metallic reflections.

Use and care

Sfera Notte is a decorative sculpture made of porous terracotta. It should not be wetted or used as a container for liquids. Periodically dust with a soft, completely dry cloth.
