Ciotola Sabbia is a ceramic sculpture from Sejnane, hand-shaped by artisan Zohra. Its low, compact form is defined by light tones, where the natural beige of the clay prevails over the faint traces left by smoke.

A crown of small conical reliefs animates the profile and makes the surface pleasantly tactile.

Product Description

Ciotola Sabbia stands out from Sejnane's darker ceramics due to the luminosity of its surface. The clay predominantly retains warm beige and sand tones, while smoke appears only in light, irregular traces, enough to highlight the form without dominating it.

Zohra constructs the bowl around an open and compact volume. Small reliefs arranged along the outer edge interrupt the continuity of the profile and create a subtle rhythm, perceptible both visually and tactilely. Polishing with seashells makes some areas smoother, leaving other parts intentionally textured.

It can be used as a catch-all, a small centerpiece, or a standalone decorative element on a desk, shelf, or coffee table. Its light color complements dark woods, stone, linen, and surfaces with natural tones.

Use and Care

Unglazed terracotta is naturally porous and is not intended to hold water or liquid foods. Use the bowl for dry items or exclusively as a decorative sculpture. Dust with a soft, dry cloth.
