Ombra Vermiglia is a geometric sculpture in glazed terracotta, constructed with diagonal cuts and open surfaces. The natural terracotta remains visible on the outside, while an intense vermilion red glaze covers parts of the structure and accentuates the depth of the voids. It is part of Vicode's 70s Objects selection.

Product Description

Ombra Vermiglia works with the contrast between the dry surface of the terracotta and the depth of the red glaze. The openings and diagonal cuts allow the surrounding space to enter the composition and produce sharp shadows.

Its compact scale makes it possible to observe it almost like an architectural model. By changing position or lighting, the openings visually alter the proportions of the form.

In the 70s Objects selection, the piece engages with the geometric, material, and chromatic research associated with the period without requiring an undocumented historical dating.

Use and care

Use exclusively as a decorative sculpture. Do not wet and clean with a soft, completely dry cloth.
