Iberian Couple is a set of two papier-mâché figurines, entirely hand-modelled and painted, each placed on a wooden base. The figures evoke traditional Iberian imagery and clothing through a distinctly 80s aesthetic.

Product Description

Paper-mâché makes figures light and allows for the creation of volumes using a material very different from ceramic or solid wood.

The two statuettes share language, palette, and arrangement, but maintain differences in their faces and clothing details. The wooden bases visually separate the figures from the surface and emphasize their sculptural character.

I would display them together, leaving a small space between the two elements, on a console table or inside a bookshelf.

Use and Care

Paper-mâché is sensitive to water and humidity. Dust exclusively with a soft, dry cloth and keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

The Charm of Handmade

Modeling, painting, and details of expressions are done manually. Small differences between the figures are therefore part of the couple's character and do not constitute defects.
