“Bionda su Rosso” vase

Daria Paolotti uses the volume of the vase as a pictorial space to be observed from multiple points of view. The portrait is not applied to a flat surface, but follows the curvature of the ceramic: the face subtly changes expression as one moves around the object.

Red occupies most of the composition and defines an intense, warm, and enveloping background. From this field of color emerges the blonde figure, outlined with a synthetic and contemporary touch. The blue accents break the chromatic continuity and introduce an unexpected contrast, capable of drawing the eye to the details of the face.
