Ritmo Arcaico is a ceramic column vase from Sejnane, hand-moulded by Hanene. Vertical rows of embossed studs mark the surface, while the colour changes from ivory at the top to warm ochre tones. A deep grey-blue smoke trace breaks up the composition.

Product Description

The surface of Ritmo Arcaico is constructed like a musical score. The vertical rows of studs accompany the development of the vase and produce a succession of solids, shadows, and intervals, similar to the rhythm of an ancient architectural element.

The palette gradually changes along its height. The ivory of the upper part meets the beige and ochre of the base, while a large grey-blue presence crosses the body like a scar. This mark is not painted: it records the point where the smoke acted most intensely during firing.

The slender shape and texture suggest a placement where the vase can also be observed laterally. On a sideboard, a plinth, or a console table, a grazing light highlights the different behavior of the studs and indentations.

Use and care

Terracotta is naturally porous and not glazed internally. Use the vase as a decorative sculpture or with dry arrangements; do not fill it with water. Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.
