Product Description

This sculpture is a sublime example of material minimalism. Its rounded, edgeless "teardrop" shape is achieved through patient hand modeling. The deep, vibrant black surface is the result of traditional "black firing" in contact with burning straw. Its extraordinary luster, on the other hand, is the fruit of lengthy and meticulous hand polishing with river stones. A unique piece of "anthropological design," where apparent simplicity conceals a complex and ancient technique, perfect as a standalone sculptural object in a contemporary setting.
