Grembo Materico is a sculptural vase made of Sejnane ceramic, hand-moulded by Najed and polished with seashells. Its rounded, rooted shape evokes a seed or ripe fruit, while a deep black streak and a burnt orange highlight traverse its natural surface.

Product Description

Grembo Materico does not strive for vertical momentum. The body is concentrated in a full and compact volume, with a stable base and a narrower top. The shape resembles a seed, a pumpkin, or a fruit, but remains abstract enough to take on different meanings.

The surface is polished by Najed with seashells. This operation compacts the clay and highlights the relationship between the natural color of the earth and the traces left by firing. A black stain runs across the lower part like a deep shadow, while a burnt orange area introduces a point of warmth.

The low and rounded presence makes the vase suitable for a coffee table, a credenza, or a base near the floor. Viewed from above, it reveals more of the opening and movement of the shape; from the side, it appears as a full volume, rooted in space.

Use and care
Terracotta is not waterproof. Use Grembo Materico as a decorative sculpture or to hold branches and dry materials; do not fill it with water. Dust with a soft, completely dry cloth.

The charm of handmade
The fullness of the shape derives from Najed's free modeling, while the black and orange presences are the unrepeatable result of firing. Each piece maintains its own balance between volume and color. A vase selected by Vicode for its ability to bring primordial, tactile, and authentic material into living spaces.
