Sand Eclipse is a designer ceramic vase from Sejnane, hand-molded by Najed. The full, bright base tapers into a tall, slender neck, while an almost circular dark stain crosses the ivory background like an eclipse imprinted by fire.

Product Description

Eclissi di Sabbia is built through a decisive change in proportions. The lower body appears wide, stable, and rooted, while the neck rises with a slender and vertical line. The transition between the two parts gives the form an immediately recognizable sculptural tension.

The light surface allows the dark imprint left by the firing to be particularly evident. The mark takes on an almost circular shape, similar to an obscured star or an archaic eye, but it does not come from a pictorial intervention: it is the result of irregular contact between clay, flame, and smoke.

Najed polishes the ceramic with seashells, achieving a compact and delicately luminous surface. The vase can become the focal point of a sideboard, console, or pedestal, preferably with clear space left around its silhouette.

Use and care

Terracotta is porous and unglazed internally. Use the vase with dry branches or as a standalone sculpture; do not pour water inside. Clean exclusively with a soft and completely dry cloth.

The charm of handmade

The balance between base and neck is created by Najed without molds or a potter's wheel. The dark imprint also depends on a unique firing process. A ceramic vase selected by Vicode for its ability to transform a mark of fire into the visual center of the artwork.
