Seme Primordiale is a black ceramic sculpture vase from Sejnane, hand-molded by Hanene. Organic protuberances, resembling sprouts or growing nuclei, emerge from its rounded body, illuminated by the metallic reflections of the smoked surface.

The craftsmanship belongs to the ceramic knowledge of the women of Sejnane, recognized by UNESCO.

Product Description

"Seme Primordiale" ("Primordial Seed") seems to hold a transformation still in progress. The central volume is full and compact, but rounded reliefs emerge from the surface, suggesting a material ready to sprout, expand, or unfurl.

Hanene models each protuberance directly onto the clay. Some appear more pronounced, others remain almost absorbed by the body: this varying intensity creates an organic rhythm and prevents the surface from becoming a regular decorative module.

The smoked black collects light on the peaks of the reliefs and deepens in the intervals between forms. Polishing with seashells intensifies this contrast, making the vase particularly interesting to observe and touch. It can be placed on a coffee table, a deep shelf, or a low pedestal, allowing it to stand freely as a sculptural organism.

Use and care
Terracotta is porous and not glazed internally. "Seme Primordiale" is designed as a decorative sculpture or for dry arrangements; do not fill with water. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.

The charm of handmade
The reliefs are not applied using molds, and the black finish does not come from an industrial glaze. Each element retains the pressure of Hanene's hand and reacts differently to firing. A vase selected by Vicode for its organic, tactile, and unrepeatable energy.
