Spirito Mediterraneo is a designer terracotta amphora, entirely hand-molded. Its essential shape harks back to the containers of ancient Mediterranean civilizations, while its rough surface preserves the traces of its craftsmanship and the natural variations of the clay.

Product Description

Spirito Mediterraneo takes the archetypal structure of an amphora and reduces it to an essential form, devoid of superimposed decorations. The slightly asymmetrical profile and compact proportions keep the manual shaping process visible.

The terracotta is left unrefined, retaining variations in grain, color, and density. The shades range from sand to ochre and burnt earth, creating a warm surface that reacts softly to natural light.

The amphora can be placed on a wooden bench, a sideboard, a deep shelf, or on the floor, next to natural fabrics and lime-washed surfaces. It can hold dried branches, but it maintains a complete presence even as a standalone sculpture, especially in Mediterranean, minimalist, or wabi-sabi interiors.
