Sabbia Viva is a ceramic sculpture bowl from Sejnane, hand-molded by artisan Najed and polished with seashells. The ivory surface features subtle crackling and rust-colored spots produced during firing.

A crown of soft reliefs surrounds its low profile, making the piece tactile and recognizable.

Product Description

Sabbia Viva establishes its identity on a small scale. Its low body and central opening create a simple volume, to which Najed adds a sequence of rounded studs arranged along the perimeter.

Unlike more pointed and defensive protrusions, these elements have a soft shape and appear to emerge naturally from the clay. Their rhythm follows the circumference and invites a closer look at the bowl.

The light surface retains a subtle network of cracks and small rust-colored traces generated by the flame. These marks interrupt the ivory base and create a spontaneous design, particularly visible when the piece is lit from the side. Sabbia Viva can be used as a catch-all or left freestanding on a coffee table, desk, or shelf.

Use and care

Terracotta is porous and not suitable for water, food, or liquids. Use the bowl for small dry objects or as a decorative sculpture. Clean exclusively with a soft, dry cloth.

Najed individually shapes each relief and entrusts the fire with defining the cracks and chromatic traces. The differences between one area and another make Sabbia Viva a unique small work.
