Corona di Cenere (Ash Crown) is a ceramic sculpture bowl from Sejnane, hand-shaped by artisan Marowa. Its low form expands horizontally, surrounded by a crown of conical reliefs.

Firing under straw creates a surface in shades of ash gray, anthracite, and ochre, marked by darker smoke imprints.

Product Description

Corona di Cenere (Crown of Ash) prioritizes the horizontal dimension. The wide internal opening immediately draws the eye, while the rim expands to create a stable and rooted form on the supporting surface.

Along the outer part, Marowa arranges a sequence of conical protuberances. This crown breaks the continuity of the volume and creates a tactile edge, similar to a natural protection or the profile of a marine fossil. The decoration thus coincides with the very structure of the bowl.

The color directly illustrates the firing process. Light grays, anthracite, and ochre transitions blend on the surface, while a darker area crosses the rim like a trace left by smoke. Placed on a low table or sideboard, the form remains legible even from a distance.

Use and Care

The bowl is intended for decorative use or for holding small, dry objects. It is not suitable for water, liquids, or food. For cleaning, use only a soft, dry cloth.
