Passaggio Rubino is a sculpture in red terracotta, handcrafted in Spain, conceived as a small architecture traversed by emptiness. The natural, raw terracotta on the outside meets a glossy ruby red glaze, creating a sharp contrast between two surfaces and two different ways of reacting to light.

Product Description

In *Passaggio Rubino*, the center of the work is not occupied by matter but by the space that passes through it. The form acts as a small threshold: it frames a portion of the environment and makes what lies behind it part of the composition.

The raw terracotta maintains a warm, opaque, and porous surface on the outside. Inside, the ruby red glaze completely changes the register: it reflects light and visually amplifies the depth of the opening. The contrast makes the construction legible even on a very small scale.

The sculpture can be oriented towards a light source, a colored surface, or another object, using the opening as a small frame. On a bookshelf or console, the relationship with its surroundings thus becomes part of the design.

*Passaggio Rubino* is an indoor sculpture. Do not wet the terracotta or apply polishing products or detergents. For cleaning, use only a soft and completely dry cloth.

The geometry does not erase the traces of the gesture: edges, thicknesses, and glaze distribution retain slight variations. A work selected by Vicode for the dialogue between raw material, saturated color, and negative space.
