Aurora di Fumo (Smoke Dawn) is a Sejnane ceramic bottle vase, hand-shaped by Marowa. Its compact form transitions from warm terracotta and ochre tones to a lighter clay, streaked with black shadows left by smoke. Fine crazing further enlivens the surface.

Product Description

Aurora di Fumo encapsulates a remarkably complex chromatic transition within a compact scale. Warm terracotta and ochre tones prevail at the base; ascending the body, the clay lightens until it meets black and gray veils produced by smoke.

The flask shape accompanies this transition. The rounded body collects the most intense variations, while the narrow neck lightens the composition and defines its brightest part. A subtle network of crazing runs through certain areas, adding depth to the surface.

Due to its collected dimensions, the vase can be placed on a desk, a bookshelf, or a small console table. It's interesting to rotate it periodically, as each side presents a different balance between light earth, ochre, and smoky shadows.

Use and care

Terracotta is not waterproof. Use Aurora di Fumo as a decorative sculpture or with a single dried stem; do not fill it with water. Clean only with a soft, completely dry cloth.

The charm of handmade

The chromatic transition is not painted, and the crazing does not follow a programmed design. Marowa constructs and polishes the form, while the fire completes its surface. A vase selected by Vicode for its ability to tell the story of the transition from light to shadow through material alone.
