Abisso di Cenere is a designer black ceramic vase from Sejnane, hand-shaped by Habiba. The truncated cone shape foregoes any applied decoration, entrusting its identity to the material, traversed by anthracite, ash, and smoky black hues.

Product Description

Abisso di Cenere uses a simple and immediate geometry: a wider base tapers towards the opening, forming a low, compact truncated cone. The shape has no reliefs or decorations, allowing the material to take on the main role.

Habiba molds the vase without a wheel, preserving slight variations in the silhouette, enough to break the geometric rigidity. The surface is smoothed with seashells but does not lose its earthy and opaque character.

Fire and smoke produce a range of dark tones, moving from deep black to ash gray. Light is not reflected uniformly: some parts appear more compact and satiny, others remain more opaque. Due to its compact proportions, the vase can be placed on a coffee table, a shelf, or a sideboard, leaving it completely free.

Use and care

Terracotta is porous and unglazed internally. Use Abisso di Cenere as a decorative sculpture or with dry arrangements; do not pour water into it. Clean only with a soft, dry cloth.
